Since 2010 I am also dedicated to the invention and design of board and card games. I’m able to add a Dutch design approach to games with conceptual and eye-catching designs. Each game concept is authentic: original themes and innovative game mechanisms are translated into state-of-the-art designs.
The games are targeted to different age groups. Besides educative games for children, the family games are intended for a wide audience. Games typically last for 10-45 minutes. Despite the simple game rules the games have an unexpected depth and require insight, concentration and intelligence to play.
Market research is conducted to ensure a differentiating game concept. The most potential game concepts are finalized in presentable prototypes. Throughout the design process each game gets tested multiple times by various reference groups. This requires a systematic design approach with endless alterations until the final design works.
Each game concept includes a brand name, logo and packaging design. User friendly and comprehensive game rules are combined with elaborate illustrations and clear info graphics. Every aspect of the customer’s experience with the game: from reading the persuading blurb on the box, unpacking the box, reading the game rules up until the final game play, must be consistent and have the highest quality. This way the consumer’s total experience is such that it adds value to the publisher’s brand.
